Express. Create. Transform.
Expressive arts therapy is the practice of using imagery, storytelling, dance, music, drama, poetry, movement, dreamwork, and visual arts together, in an integrated way, to foster human growth, development, and healing. It is about reclaiming our innate capacity as human beings for creative expression of our individual and collective human experience in artistic form. Expressive arts therapy is also about experiencing the natural capacity of creative expression and creative community for healing. You want to know yourself better, to have a more fulfilling life!
You’re looking for a holistic approach and perspective that will allow you to bloom into a happier person.
Clients have come to me for various situations and needs, such as
Anxiety and stress
Difficulty coping with life in general
Dissociative Identity Disorder
Recovery after a stroke
To express and create as an healthy and natural way to process
Expressive Arts Therapy is a very comprehensive and holistic way to look at one's situation and provides unique perspective and solutions.
It is also very gentle and respectful of the human soul.
Even if you see yourself as a non artistic or non creative person, expressive arts therapy can be for you. In a session the emphasis is never on the end result but rather on the process. And I have yet to meet a person with no creativity. Wether you like creating through cooking, gardening, photography, dreaming, music playing, scrapbooking, journaling, etc.... you probably have one if not many ways you express yourself naturally.
One on One Sessions
I offer 60 minutes one on one sessions. The first 30 minutes meeting session is free. After that initial session, I charge $95 per session.
Group sessions are very enriching and fun. I believe sharing is a part of the healing process. Expressive Arts have been successfully used by groups and institutions to help with stress relief, trauma work, self care, etc... Click here to learn more
Thanks to expressive arts we can come closer as a community by enriching our relationships to each other and our environment. I often collaborate as a therapist and as an artist to various projects. Click here to learn more.
